Every year we love to visit the Christmas Tree Festival. It normally takes place in the first week of December and really gets us feeling festive and it raises money for the church and the hospital charity too.
This year, 63 trees were decorated by various local groups and organisations. It is beautiful inside the church especially with Christmas carols being played on the piano as we viewed the trees. Here’s some pictures from our visit.
My boys loved seeing the nativity scene. We have a wooden scene at home and they’ve been rehearsing their nativity plays at school, so they were very interested in the large scene at the church and loved that real straw was used.
My eldest noticed some people missing from the nativity scene. The 3 kings! You can see them above on the window ledge behind the tree. They have a long journey ahead of them!
There were 63 trees lining the edges of the church. All the lights and decorations looked stunning. Especially in such a beautiful building.
My youngest was fascinated by the huge, stained glass windows and the old stone floors. He loved them just as much as the Christmas trees!
We thought this tree was decorated beautifully, the purple decorations were really eye-catching.
We had a great time visiting the Christmas tree festival. We’ll definitely be back next year.
